This action aims at supporting international cooperation between organizations active in the field of Higher Education in third countries not associated to the Erasmus+ Programme for socio-economic recovery, growth and prosperity and reacting to recent trends, in particular economic globalization through 3 specific Strands.(deadline: 17 February 2022)
The awards recognise the contributions of the European Road Safety Charter's community of members towards the common goal of improved road safety across Europe. The five winning initiatives are examples of where organisations have delivered specific and measurable road safety actions in their areas of responsibility.
The EU Prize for Women Innovators celebrates the female entrepreneurs behind game-changing innovations. In doing so, the EU wants to raise awareness of the need for more women innovators and create role models for women and girls. The prize is funded by the EU’s Horizon Europe programme for research and innovation and is managed by the European Innovation Council and SMEs Executive Agency (EISMEA). This year’s finalists are using their innovations across a wide range of industries to help tackle global challenges.
Since 2015, the European Commission has been awarding the Innovation Radar Prize to the best EU-funded innovators. This year, 4 prize winners have been recognised for their promising achievements out of a total of 12 finalists. The overall prize went to biotechnology solution provider MetGen and the sustainability technology prize to C2CA Technology.
The European Commission's European Innovation Council has selected 65 innovative start-ups and SMEs to receive €360 million of funding for breakthrough innovations. Each company will receive a combination of grant financing and equity investment of up to €17 million to develop and scale up their ground-breaking innovations in healthcare, digital technologies, energy, biotechnology, space and other.
The next call for proposals will be launched on 18 November 2021. Through this call, the EIT’s HEI Initiative aims to help higher education institutions to design activities that will improve their entrepreneurial and innovation capacity. Detailed information on the call text will not be available until 18 November 2021.
Project proposals should be in line with the NGI vision and the topic of trustworthiness and technical assurances. They should have research and development as their primary objective and should be complete and concise (no longer than two pages for the main application). Proposals should have a clear European dimension. Deadline: 1 December 2021
The fifth call of the Smart cluster is now open with a deadline for submitting the project idea (PO) on 24 January 2022. This call is to get the "cluster seal", and will have 2 stages, one of screening of ideas (Project Outline Submission) for 24/01/2022. In a second stage, those who pass the screening, will submit the FPP (Full Project Proposal) by 03/05/2022. The cluster seal will be obtained on 21/06/2022.
The EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK Awards recognise local authorities that have excelled in raising awareness of sustainable mobility throughout EUROPEANMOBILITYWEEK (16-22 September). The Awards are given in two categories: one for smaller municipalities with a population under 100,000 and one for larger municipalities with a population over 100,000.
The Department of Citizen Relations has launched a call for aid, amounting to 20,000 euros, aimed both at entities in Navarra that participate in the Europe + Cerca 2021 itinerary, as well as those that are executing preparatory actions aimed at presenting themselves to calls for EU programs.
The "Europa + Cerca" Program is promoted by the Enterprise Europe Network (EEN) of AIN and the University of Navarra in collaboration with the Directorate General for External Action and the Delegation of the Government of Navarra in Brussels. The program includes specific training to improve the proposals of SMEs to the different calls for aid to R&D of the European Union and includes a visit to official institutions (European Commission) as well as meetings with Belgian entities, clusters and organizations and institutions of interest.
The Ministry of Transport, Mobility and Urban Agenda(link is external) (Mitma) in Spain has opened its first call to distribute €1 billion of European funds from the national Recovery and Resiliency Plan among city councils. The main objective of this first support programme is to accelerate the decarbonisation of cities, to improve air quality and to mitigate noise.
