The European Commission has released two multilingual educational toolkits to help fight gender stereotypes when discovering and choosing careers. The two toolkits cover the learning ages of primary and secondary school and they use the example of the transport sector to show a rapidly changing and expanding sector that will need to employ highly skilled workers, regardless of gender.
Engineers are currently exploring a shift towards integrated modular avionics (IMA), leading to better optimisation of the hardware. The Commission has officially launched the Alliance for Zero Emission Aviation, calling on the members of the aviation community to join forces in preparing for the advent of zero emission aircraft.
